Finding Your Ikigai
Ikigai is a Japanese concept that translates to "reason for being." It is believed to be the source of a person's joy and satisfaction in life. To find your ikigai, you can try asking yourself the following questions:
- What are you passionate about?
- What are you good at?
- What does the world need from you?
- What can you get paid for?
The intersection of these four areas is your ikigai. It may take some time and self-reflection to discover your ikigai, but it can be a rewarding process. Some people find their ikigai in their work, while others find it in their personal hobbies and relationships.
Here are some additional tips for finding your ikigai:
- Reflect on your values and what is most important to you in life.
- Think about the activities that bring you joy and fulfillment.
- Consider what you naturally gravitate towards and what you have always been interested in.
- Don't be afraid to try new things and be open to exploring different paths.
- Seek the guidance of trusted friends, family, or a therapist.
