Finding Your Ikigai
Ikigai is a Japanese concept that translates to "reason for being." It is believed to be the source of a person's joy and satisfaction in life. To find your ikigai, you can try asking yourself the following questions:
What are you passionate about?
What are you good at?
What does the world need from you?
What can you get paid for?
The intersection of these four areas is your ikigai. It may take some time and self-reflection to discover your ikigai, but it can be a rewarding process. Some people find their ikigai in their work, while others find it in their personal hobbies and relationships.
Here are some additional tips for finding your ikigai:
Reflect on your values and what is most important to you in life.
Think about the activities that bring you joy and fulfillment.
Consider what you naturally gravitate towards and what you have always been interested in.
Don't be afraid to try new things and be open to exploring different paths.
Seek the guidance of trusted friends, family, or a therapist.
